    I visited the Cheadle express store yesterday at around 1900. The shop was fairly busy with no one policing those entering and leaving. I paid for my items at the self serve counter. As the one nearest the freezers was in use I went to the other one to the left. I noticed a screen between the two self serve checkout but was surprised to find no screen between myself and the customer directly next to me at the served counter (less than 2 metres) who been socially distantly queuing. The person serving her was also very close with no screen between myself and the customer to the side of me. As there was a problem in my bagging area awaiting the assistant and the other customer had a dispute over a price needing confirming we were next to each other for a few minutes which made me very uncomfortable. I was surprised by this lack of planning as I have chosen Tesco Burnage to do my main weekly shop and that of elderly relatives during the pandemic as I felt Tesco had taken the safety aspect most seriously so I was disappointed at this oversight and would be reluctant to use this store again during this time. I feel there should be a screen between the served and self served counters during this time, or preferably not to use the served till nearest the self service area.
